Rosh Hashanah
Rosh Hashanah (Hebrew: רֹאשׁ הַשָּׁנָה, pronounced [ˌʁoʃ haʃaˈna]; lit. 'head of the year') is the New Year in Judaism. The biblical name for this holiday is Yom Teruah (יוֹם תְּרוּעָה, Yōm Tərūʿā, IPA: [joːm təruːˈʕaː]; lit. 'day of blasting').
