The Royal Danish Navy (RDN; Danish: Søværnet, lit. 'The Navy') is the sea-based branch of the armed forces of Denmark. The RDN is mainly responsible for maritime defence and maintaining the sovereignty of Danish territorial waters, which include those of Faroe Islands and Greenland.
