Rum-running in Windsor, Ontario

The Canadian city of Windsor, Ontario and the United States city of Detroit, Michigan, are located on opposite banks of the Detroit River. The river separates them by about 0.6 kilometres (0.37 miles) at the narrowest point, but there were no bridges between the two cities until 1929.
