Russians in Toruń
The Russian community in Toruń, predominantly adhering to the Eastern Orthodox faith, became significantly present in the city during the interwar period. The Russians who settled in Toruń at that time were mostly opponents of the October Revolution, belonging to the Russian white émigré, or those who fought on the Polish side in the Polish–Soviet War and were interned in the Second Polish Republic after the signing of the Treaty of Riga.
