The Salt Lick Reservation controversy was a land speculation and corruption scandal involving Andrew Jackson, who was the seventh U.S. president, serving from 1828 to 1836. The controversy began in 1818 when Jackson was a United States Indian commissioner and ended during his presidency in 1832.
