The Scout and Guide movement in New Zealand is served by GirlGuiding New Zealand, member of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts Scouts Aotearoa, member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement == History == Scouting in New Zealand began in 1908 and spread rapidly throughout the country. The first group of Boy Scouts was formed in Kaiapoi, Canterbury in April 1908.
