Second-generation immigrants in the United States

Second-generation Americans in the United States are individuals born and raised in the United States who have at least one foreign-born parent. Data colllectors originally used long terms like "Second generation of the immigrant family lineage" and this eventually got exhausting to use, so overtime they shortened it to “Second-generation immigrant”.
