The Senate of the Ottoman Empire (Ottoman Turkish: مجلس اعیان, Heyet-i Ayan or Meclis-i Ayan; Turkish: Ayan Meclisi; lit. "Assembly of Notables"; French: Sénat) was the upper house of the parliament of the Ottoman Empire, the General Assembly.
