Shakib Arslan

Shakib Arslan (Arabic: شَكيب أَرْسَلان, romanized: Shakīb Arslān‎; 25 December 1869 – 9 December 1946) was a Lebanese writer, poet, historian, politician, and Emir in Lebanon. A prolific writer, he produced some 20 books and 2,000 articles, as well as two collections of poetry and a "prodigious correspondence".
