Shalom aleichem (; Hebrew: שָׁלוֹם עֲלֵיכֶם šālōm ʿalēḵem [ʃaˈloːm ʕaleːˈxem], lit. 'peace be upon you') is a greeting in the Hebrew language. When someone is greeted with these words, the appropriate response is aleichem shalom (עֲלֵיכֶם שָׁלוֹם, lit. 'unto you peace').
