The Sinasa massacre was a mass poisoning and stabbing carried out by religious leader Mangayanon Butaog on September 9, 1985 (1985-09-09) in Sinasa, a village in Davao City, Philippines. A total of 68 people died including Butaog; 64 from eating poisoned gruel, and four from stab wounds.
