Slava (Serbian: Слава, lit. 'Celebration', Serbian pronunciation: [ˈslâʋa]) is a family's annual ceremony and veneration of their patron saint, found mainly among ethnic Serbs. Although its origin is unknown, this old tradition is an important ethnic marker of Serbian identity.
