The Freedom Party of Albania (Albanian: Partia e Lirisë së Shqipërisë, PL), commonly known as the Freedom Party (Albanian: Partia e Lirisë), is a social-democratic and pro-European political party in Albania. It was founded on 6 September 2004 by former prime minister Ilir Meta as the Socialist Movement for Integration (Albanian: Lëvizja Socialiste për Integrim, LSI), after Meta split from the Socialist Party of Albania (PS).
