Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction

The Office of the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction (SIGAR) was the U.S. government's leading oversight authority on Afghanistan reconstruction. Congress created the Office of the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction to provide independent and objective oversight of Afghanistan reconstruction funds.
