Squamish people
The Squamish people (Squamish: Sḵwx̱wú7mesh, Squamish pronunciation: [ˈsqʷχʷuː.ʔməʃ], historically transliterated as Sko-ko-mish) are an Indigenous people of the Pacific Northwest Coast. Archaeological evidence shows they have lived in the area for more than a thousand years.
