Stanislas Sorel

Stanislas Sorel (born 1803, Putanges, France; died 18 March 1871, Paris) was a French civil engineer, inventor, and chemist, raised the son of a poor clock-maker. A poorly known aspect of Sorel’s early works was the development of heating appliances.
