Stereotypes of Hispanic and Latino Americans in the United States are general representations of Americans considered to be of Hispanic and Latino ancestry, or immigrants to the United States from Spain or Latin America. Latin America refers to the countries in the Americas where Romance languages (derived from Latin)—primarily Spanish, Portuguese, and French—are spoken.
