Stephen Gregory Yzerman ( EYE-zər-mən; born May 9, 1965) is a Canadian former professional hockey player who is currently the executive vice president and general manager of the Detroit Red Wings, where he spent all 22 seasons of his NHL playing career. He is a Detroit sports icon and a member of the Hockey Hall of Fame.
