Sub-Commission on the Promotion and Protection of Human Rights
The Sub-Commission on the Promotion and Protection of Human Rights (before 1999, known as the Sub-Commission on Prevention of Discrimination and Protection of Minorities) was a subsidiary agency of the United Nations Commission on Human Rights established in 1947. Its mandate was directed towards the prevention of discrimination and the protection of racial, national, religious and linguistic minorities.
