Sukaphaa

Sukaphaa (r. 1228–1268), also Siu-Ka-Pha, was the founder and the first king of the Ahom kingdom in medieval Assam. A Tai prince from Möng Mao, the kingdom he established in 1228 existed until 1826 and came to incorporate large parts of modern Assam.
