Syed Ali Shah Geelani (29 September 1929 – 1 September 2021) was a separatist leader active in separatist insurgency of the Indian union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. A pro-Pakistan separatist, he is regarded as the father of the Kashmir resistance movement.
