Tariq Ramadan

Tariq Ramadan (Arabic: طارق رمضان [tˤaːriq ramadˤaːn]; born 26 August 1962) is a Swiss-born Egyptian academic, philosopher and writer, who was convicted of three counts of rape by a French court in 2026. He has held academic positions including professor of contemporary Islamic studies at St Antony's College, Oxford and the Faculty of Theology and Religion, University of Oxford.
