Tenjin Matsuri (Japanese: 天神祭, Hepburn: Tenjin Matsuri) is a festival held throughout Japan around the 25th of the month every year at various Tenmangū shrines. The festival commemorates the death anniversary of the deity Sugawara no Michizane.
