Thapsacus

Thapsacus (Ancient Greek: Θάψακος, romanized: Thapsakos; Hebrew: תִּפְסַח Tipsah) was an ancient town along the western bank of the Euphrates river that would now lie in modern Syria. Thapsacus was the Greek and Roman name for the town.
