The Boondocks is an American adult animated sitcom created by Aaron McGruder for Cartoon Network's late-night programming block Adult Swim, based on his manga-influenced comic strip of the same name. The series focuses on a Black American family, the Freemans, and their experiences in the fictional, predominantly white suburb of Woodcrest.
