The Holocaust and the Nakba

The Holocaust and the Nakba have been studied as interrelated events in discussions of the Israeli–Palestinian conflict, both historically and in the way these two events have influenced perceptions of the conflict by both parties. According to a book by Grace Wermenbol, Israeli Jews see themselves as Holocaust survivors and emphasize the uniqueness of the Holocaust, often rejecting any linkage between it and the Nakba.
