The Geneva Convention (III) relative to the Treatment of Prisoners of War, more commonly referred to as the Third Geneva Convention or Geneva Convention III and abbreviated as GCIII, is one of the four treaties of the 1949 Geneva Conventions. It was first adopted in 1929, but was significantly revised at the 1949 conference on 12 August 1949.
