Tropical Storm Nanmadol (2017)

Severe Tropical Storm Nanmadol, known in the Philippines as Severe Tropical Storm Emong, was a tropical cyclone that impacted southern Japan in early July 2017. The third named storm of the annual typhoon season, Nanmadol developed over in the Philippine Sea as a tropical depression on July 1 before strengthening into a tropical storm on July 3.
