Tulumba, tolomba or bamiyeh (Persian: بامیه; Arabic: بلح الشام) is a deep-fried dessert found in Egypt, the Levant, Greece and the regional cuisines of the former Ottoman Empire. It is a fried batter soaked in syrup, similar to jalebis or churros.
