U.S. Army Corps of Engineers civil works controversies
The United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) is involved in a wide range of public works projects, including environmental protection, water supply, recreation, flood damage and reduction, beach nourishment, homeland security, military construction, and support for other government agencies. It currently manages 740 dams across the United States and Puerto Rico.
