U.S. energy security and Venezuela

U.S. Energy Security and Venezuela refers to the role of Venezuela's oil sector, which is home to some of the world's largest proven oil reserves, in the energy security of the United States and global energy policy. Venezuela, with the world's largest proven oil reserves, has historically been significant in U.S. energy considerations, especially during the twentieth century when American companies were heavily involved in the country's oil industry.
