Ultracold atom

In condensed matter physics, ultracold atoms are atomic gases with a temperature near absolute zero. At such temperatures, the atoms quantum-mechanical properties become important, especially through what is known as superfluidity, a phenomenon also displayed by Superfluid Helium 4.
