Uniform Civil Code of Gujarat Act, 2026

The Gujarat Uniform Civil Code Act, 2026 is a legislation enacted by the Gujarat Legislative Assembly to establish a uniform legal framework governing matters relating to marriage, divorce, succession, inheritance, adoption and live-in relationships for residents of Gujarat, irrespective of religion. Gujarat became the second state in India, after Uttarakhand, to enact a Uniform Civil Code.
