Vicenza ( vih-CHENT-sə, Italian: [viˈtʃɛntsa] ; Venetian: Vicença or Vicensa [viˈtʃeŋsa], archaically Vixenza [viˈzeŋ(t)sa]) is a city in northeastern Italy. It is in the Veneto region, at the northern base of the Monte Berico, where it straddles the River Bacchiglione.
