Vietnamese morphology

Vietnamese, like many languages in Southeast Asia, is an analytic (and isolating) language. Vietnamese lacks morphological markings of case, gender, number, and tense (and, as a result, has no finite/nonfinite distinction) and distinguishes them via classifier words instead.
