Vlachs of Serbia

The Vlachs (Romanian: rumâń; Serbian: Власи, romanized: Vlasi) are a Romanian-speaking recognized ethnic minority in Serbia. According to data from the 2022 census, there were 21,013 Vlachs living in Serbia (constituting 0.3% of the total population), although unofficial estimates by members of the community put the number of Vlachs or speakers of Romanian in eastern Serbia to be between 150,000 and 300,000.
