Wallis and Futuna in World War II

The Second World War in Wallis and Futuna was a period of significant upheaval for this French protectorate territory in the Pacific. The islands were not the scene of fighting, but suffered complete isolation for seventeen months, from January 1, 1941 to May 27, 1942.
