Wāsiṭī (Arabic: واسطي, also anglicized as Wasity or Wasti) is a toponymic surname originating from the city of Wasit, Iraq. Twelver Shias in India and Pakistan descending from Zayd ibn Ali also carry the surname along with Zaidi (see Zaidi Wasitis).
