Wen Jiabao (Chinese: 温家宝; pinyin: Wēn Jiābǎo; born 15 September 1942) is a retired Chinese politician who served as the premier of China from 2003 to 2013 and the third-ranking member of the Politburo Standing Committee of the Chinese Communist Party from 2002 to 2012. Born in Tianjin, Wen joined the Chinese Communist Party in 1965.
