The Insurgency in Northeast India is ongoing armed conflicts in a number of India's northeastern states between several militants groups with various political ideologies, including separatism, communism, Christian nationalism and Islamism, and the Indian government. Northeast India consists of eight states: the seven sister states of Assam, Meghalaya, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, and Nagaland, and the brother state Sikkim included later.
