White Buffalo Cow Society

The White Buffalo Cow Society (Hidatsa: Ptī′take Ō′xat'e) has historically been the most respected women's society amongst the Mandan and Hidatsa peoples. The women of the White Buffalo Cow Society perform the buffalo-calling ceremony.
