Wilhelm Wassmuss
Wilhelm Wassmuss (14 February 1880 – 29 November 1931; German spelling: Waßmuß) was a German diplomat and spy who operated in Persia, as well as taking part in the Niedermayer–Hentig Expedition, known as "Wassmuss of Persia". According to British versions of history, he "attempted to foment trouble for the British" in the Persian Gulf during World War I. == Birth and schooling == Wilhelm Wassmuss was born on 14 February 1880 in Ohlendorf, 60 kilometers south-east of Hanover, Germany.
