General Sir William Francis Patrick Napier, KCB (7 December 1785 – 12 February 1860) was a British Army officer and historian. == Early life == Napier was born at Celbridge in County Kildare, the third son of Colonel George Napier (1751–1804) and his wife, Lady Sarah Lennox (1745–1826).
