Wola hospitals during the Warsaw Uprising

During the Warsaw Uprising in 1944, four hospitals operated in the Wola district of Warsaw. The most dramatic moment in the wartime history of Wola's hospitals was the mass slaughter of district residents carried out in the first days of the uprising by Schutzstaffel (SS) units and Ordnungspolizei.
