Women drone operators in the Ukrainian military

Since the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, women in the Ukrainian military have increasingly served as drone operators and in drone-supporting functions, a role previously almost exclusively taken by men. As women in Ukraine are not subject to the 2022 Ukrainian mobilisation, they join on a voluntary basis, primarily motivated by a sense of duty to their country and their fellow Ukrainians.
