Women in the Indian Armed Forces

Women in the Indian Armed Forces serve primarily in combat service support branches and in non combatant roles. In 2018, female officers made up 13.09% of the Indian Air Force, 6% of the Indian Navy, and 3.8% of the Indian Army, increases from 8.5%, 3%, and 3% respectively in 2014.
