2024 Pacific typhoon season
The 2024 Pacific typhoon season was a below-average season in terms of accumulated cyclone energy (ACE) but was slightly above-average in terms of named storms, typhoons, and super typhoons, ending a four-year streak of below-average seasons that began in 2020. Furthermore, it was the fifth-latest Pacific typhoon season on record, the deadliest season since 2013, and the fourth costliest on record, primarily due to Typhoon Yagi.
