Angel wings (Polish: Chruściki) are a traditional sweet crisp pastry made out of dough that has been shaped into thin twisted ribbons, deep-fried, and sprinkled with powdered sugar. They are traditionally eaten on Fat Thursday in Poland, ahead of Lent.
