2018–2019 Iranian general strikes and protests

The 2018–2019 Iranian general strikes and protests were a series of strikes and protests that took place across Iran from early 2018 until mid-2019 as a result of the country's poor economic situation, as well as discontent with the Iranian government. These included protests from truckers, teachers, and workers for better wages, and also include protests against water mismanagement and calls for a better response to water scarcity in Iran.
