LGBTIQ+ people in Australia

Australia is one of the most LGBTQ-friendly countries in the world. In a 2019 Pew Research poll, 81% of Australians agreed that homosexuality should be accepted by society, making it the eighth most supportive country in the survey behind Sweden (94%, most supportive country), Germany, France, UK (all 86%), and Canada (85%).
